Graham Smith
Tampa, Florida
Graham’s enthusiasm for motor sports started back in 1961 watching A.J. Foyt win the Indianapolis 500.
Before joining PaddockTalk, Graham spent 3 years in northern England and became rapidly interested in photographing the ancient stained glass windows of old churches and monasteries. On returning to the U.S., he spent over 7 years as a contractor/consultant with the CIA & NRO (National Reconnaissance Office) working with highly advanced photo images and equipment. (Not allowed to talk about these!)
For the past 8 ½ years, he has freelanced or AFP (Agence France Presse) covering Sebring, Road Atlanta, LimeRock, Mid Ohio, RennSport and looks forward to the day when he can return to LeMans.
His interest in motorsports photography is complimented by his interest in visiting, obtaining the history and photographing lighthouses.
Peter Bukowski
Chicago, Il
Peter Bukowski is a new addition to the PTalkPhoto.com team for 2008. His interest in motorsports goes back to the mid 60’s watching ABC Wide World of Sports coverage of LeMans and then seeing the movie Grand Prix in the theater. His first experience at a track was a trip to the June Sprints at Road America in 1972. A few years later upon receiving his first 35mm SLR, he found a way to bring the action and color of the race, back home. For many years Peter attended races at Road America and captured images on film for his own use. In the late 80’s or early 90’s, Peter was fortunate enough to win a contest with an image from the Chicago Historic Races and part of the prize was having photo credentials for the following seasons Chicago Historic Races at Road America.
Peter came back to his dual passions of racing and photography in 2006 after over 10 years away. Peter joined the PTalkPhoto team for the 2008 season. After working 4 different events at 3 different tracks “from the other side of the fence” in 2008, Peter is looking forward to capturing images for the PTalkPhoto team again in ’09 and beyond. In addition to the races that he will cover for PTalkPhoto in ’09, Peter can be found on as many weekends as possible, shooting cars, cycles and karts racing around the Midwest.
Peter supports his racing/photography hobby/passion, working for an independent financial planning and wealth management firm in a suburb north of Chicago.
